Lucas our very own Little Moon co founder and charity Treasure was cruising home from work along the bustling 357 highway from Málaga, the late sun casting long shadows. Suddenly, a black-and-white blur darted from a bush—a small dog, oblivious to the roaring traffic. Lucas slammed on the brakes, heart racing, and waved frantically for others to stop. Miraculously, they did. A kind woman leapt from her car, and together they corralled the trembling pup, and secured her into his vehicle. “Thank you,” he whispered, certain she’d have been struck without their quick action.
At home, Lucas and Gaelle with Cassy, sprang into action. Cassy’s sharp eyes spotted ticks in her ears—nasty parasites. The pack of sixteen dogs, a furry family well-versed in welcoming strays, greeted her with wagging tails. She settled in instantly, her soulful eyes and playful spirit enchanting everyone. The vet visit confirmed she was about two, healthy despite the ticks, and microchipped. Her owner got in touch and came to collect her. It was just great to see her reaction as they were reunited! Job done!
Lucas’s mum beams with pride. “My boy’s an animal hero,” she says. And we all agree!
