About us
Little Moon Rescue goes beyond just providing shelter, offering veterinary care and nutritious food, to ensure the dogs’ well-being. We foster a close-knit, loving atmosphere, allowing them to form strong bonds with the dogs and understand their unique needs. Little Moon Rescue’s dream is to spread kindness and positivity to animals and everyone around them and be their voice. We believe that by coming together, we can create a brighter world for all creatures, big and small.

Our journey began about 8 years ago when Gaëlle met Luke, sparking a passion for animal rescue that would change their lives forever. Since that day, countless animals in need have by one means or another found their way to her door. Each with their own story and a desperate need for love and care.

Our story
Founded in 2017, our rescue has been a safe haven for countless dogs in need. We started with a simple goal: to provide a sanctuary where dogs can live happily without the constraints of cages.
Little Moon Rescue is a heartwarming haven located in the countryside near Málaga, Spain. Our family-driven non-profit association is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and living their best lives. We believe that every dog deserves a safe and caring environment and work tirelessly to make that a reality. We provide a safe haven for dogs facing abandonment, mistreatment, or other unfortunate circumstances. We offer personalized care, focusing on building trust and helping each dog heal.
We are fortunate to live in a beautiful part of the world, but like everywhere, we face our share of animal welfare challenges. Choosing to step up and help brings its own set of obstacles, but our dedication to making a difference fuels our resolve.

Our Team

Gaëlle Perrin
Founder & CEO – President
Gaëlle is the Boss of us all. She is the driving force behind Little Moon, the one who keeps everything running smoothly. She’s the beating heart of the place, and the dogs—our beloved “Doggos”—simply adore her.
G. has a dog whispering gift when it comes to animals, effortlessly connecting with each one in a way that leaves everyone (including us!) in awe.
A committed vegan with strong principles, G is also the proud mother of seventeen children, two of whom are human! Her family is her world, and Little Moon was her dream, a vision that she built from the ground up with endless dedication and heart.
Profesionally, she was a ‘digital nomad’ decades before we knew it had a name! She currently works for a prominent international cyber security company, combining her deep expertise with a creative, forward-thinking approach to problem-solving.
Simply put, Gaëlle brings warmth, wisdom, and love to everything she does—whether it’s leading the team or caring for the animals.

tim Wass MBE
Co-Founder & Vice President
Tim is Little Moon’s co founder and VP. Following service in the RAF, Tim joined the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), where he specialised in complex cruelty investigations.
He rose through the ranks to become the Chief Officer of the Inspectorate. Tim led the organisation’s response to several national and international animal welfare and health crisis, for which he was made an MBE. Tim went on to become an Independent Animal Welfare Consultant for many organisations and charities in different parts of the world
Today, Tim is an essential part of the Little Moon’s wonderful family, and he is also the dog’s “substitute human” when Gaelle is busy or away. Additionally, he ihas a permanent position as Assistant Dog Feeder and Head Chef for the humans (his chips are amazing).
Tim insists that he doesn’t have any favourites (Vega) as it wouldn’t be fair to the others (still Vega)!
Meet Deputy Poo Picker upper extraordinaire!

Cassy Perrin
Co-Founder & Secretary
Cassy is the incredible secretary of Little Moon, and she brings a unique blend of skills to the team. Not only is she a qualified psychologist, but she’s also an advanced specialist in Shiatsu Therapy.
Cassy’s real passion, though, is emotional support for the animals. In simpler terms? She’s a professional cuddler who has endless conversations with the animals—whether they’re in the mood for it or not!
Her days are filled with providing comfort, understanding, and a lot of affection to all the creatures at Little Moon. Cassy has a special gift for tuning into their needs, whether it’s soothing an anxious pup or calming a stressed-out cat.
When Cassy isn’t working her emotional magic on the animals, she’s always there with a listening ear for the team, making sure everyone feels supported and cared for.
Cassy is the spirit of Little Moon—full of warmth, care, and cuddles.

Lucas Perrin
Co-Founder & Treasurer
Lucas is the Treasurer of Little Moon, and he’s as creative as they come—he doesn’t just think outside the box, he lives outside it! Known as the family’s “Cat Guy,” Lucas has a special bond with the cats—honestly, we think he might relate to them!
He’s a master of finding cozy nap spots and has no qualms about demanding food whenever the mood strikes. As the official “Siesta Time Coordinator,” he takes his napping role very seriously and actively participates in all the downtime action.
Lucas is also the inventive mastermind behind dog entertainment at Little Moon. Always coming up with fun ways to engage with the dogs. He’s also responsible for keeping their behavior in check with a healthy dose of discipline.
Despite standing nearly 2 meters tall, Lucas and the dogs get along great, with no fear in sight.
Outside of Little Moon, Lucas is a member of the national volleyball team, a big fan of video games and technology, and currently studying at the innovative “42” college. He is currently available for adoption!
